Leadership Training Students Pledge To Raise $114,000 To Help Women Recovering From Human Trafficking

COLUMBUS, OH – The 24th class of Next Level Trainings Vision and Impact Program (VIP) have chosen 1DivineLine2Health as the beneficiary of its four-week Community Service Project. 1DivineLine2Health serves Columbus residents who have been affected by human trafficking and the opioid epidemic. The class will create massive impact for the community in the Hilltop area of Columbus by raising at least $114,000 and gathering at least 5,000 donated tangible goods (clothes, nonperishable food items, medical supplies) from now until the project ends on October 4th. The team will host a fundraising event in Columbus on Sunday, September 22, and will donate thousands of in-person hours of volunteer work on the project, including during several work days to improve the recently donated facility at 2424 Sullivant Ave.

1DivineLine2Health is an organization with staff and volunteers who provide health care, shelter, food and access to recovery services to adults and children who are in desperate need of this critical support. Our team has chosen to support 1DivineLine2Health, with an effort to increase their capacity so that they can serve more neighbors in need.

“The opioid epidemic is spreading and not everyone is aware of just how much drug addiction, human trafficking, and opioid addiction goes on in our cities. Columbus is among the top five cities in the US for human trafficking, and the staggering number of affected victims are going unnoticed by the public.” said Katrina Lehman, spokesperson.

“We are forming relations with women, their children, and transgender folks who are hurting here and abroad. Our remedy is love.” said Esther Flores, owner and founder of 1DivineLine2Health. “I can’t believe these leaders from Next Level Trainings. I’d heard about these service projects they do, but I had never imagined they would pick us. I’m very excited to see what they create.”

The VIP 24 Students are committed to:

  • Raise at least $114,000 by October 4th

  • Donate at least 3,000 hours of volunteer work to facilitate a full-time Love Drop-In Center.

  • Stock the Drop-in Center with donated tangible goods and supplies.

  • Organize and host a fundraiser event on the 22nd of September.

  • Host a big celebration event on the 4th of October where all collected goods will be donated to the Drop-in Center and a check will be presented to 1DivineLine2Health.

We believe 1DivineLine2Health will have a massive impact on the community and our goal as a team is to support its cause in bringing light, hope, and love to the world. Love heals the sick; love heals the world.

Our fundraiser event will be held on Sunday September 22 from 2-4pm at Big Walnut Park 5000 E Livingston Ave, Columbus, OH, and is open to the public. It will be a fun filled, 2 hour educational event for kids and adults alike.
