10 Days Left for Local Volunteer Group to Raise $50,000 to Support Disadvantaged Teens
PHILADELPHIA, PA - “Fund a Student, Change a Life” best describes the passion of Philadelphia-based Herb it Forward Foundation (HIFF), whose mission is to support the education of young leaders in Philadelphia through a scholarship program, mentorship, and community-building initiatives. Upon hearing of HIFF’s mission and the impact it is having on local scholars, Next Level Trainings has committed to raising $50,000 for HIFF in 21 days.
Next Level Trainings, has raised $20,533.00 to date.
"We are so excited to have been chosen by Next Level Trainings and to have their support of the next generation of changemakers in the Philadelphia area,” says Herb it Forward Foundation Executive Director, Jen Jones. “As a nonprofit, the greatest gift you can receive is the help of passionate and motivated people to bring attention to your cause, and we have found exactly that in the Next Level Trainings students."
"The money raised by Next Level Trainings will fund a full Leadership Camp weekend for up to 48 students.” said Jones. “Over three days, students spark connections with one another that develop into lifelong friendships, participate in immersive workshops by leading experts from around the country, and feel the support behind them as they journey into and through their higher education experience.”
By supporting HIFF’s mission, the Next Level Trainings leadership group seeks to ensure these young Philadelphia-based scholars, who despite extreme challenges in their past, are hardworking, motivated and continue to grow and impact their communities.
The Herb it Forward Scholarship was founded in 2014 in memory of Herb Lotman, a self-made businessman whose life was dedicated to helping others and giving back. The Herb it Forward Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, followed in 2017 to further educate and connect those future leaders who will continue to pay it forward.
