Next Level Trainings raises over $29,000 & Hosts Service Day for Urban Creators
Philadelphia, PA. - The 10th leadership class of Next Level Trainings has reached the halfway point in their fundraising efforts to support Urban Creators’ Life Do Grow farm in North Philadelphia in less than two weeks. At $25,000 raised, the group of 23 leaders continues to create opportunities to impact the Urban Creators’ work through fundraising.
In addition to fundraising, the leadership group plans to support Urban Creators with a physical labor day, mural painting and general farming. The group will bring in industry experts to host strategy sessions with employees and community members by providing financial/budget management, branding and marketing information, graphic design, and business modeling. By empowering the community with these skills, the community can continue to expand economic development for the neighborhood.

Why: The purpose of Special Projects and Labor Day is to assist Urban Creators with any physical needs of the farm such as mural painting, inventory set-up, cleaning, produce farming. The consultation experts are intended to build capacity for young entrepreneurs in the neighborhood. Consultations will be offered in financial/budget management, branding/marketing management, graphic design, and business modeling.
The Urban Creators, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2010, is a community collaborative rooted in North-Central Philadelphia that fuses food, art, political education, and celebration as tools to build equity, self-determination, and racial & economic justice in their neighborhood. They engage youth as leaders in the transformation of neglected landscapes into urban farms, gardens, and artistic venues for radical inclusivity and self-expression.
