COLUMBUS - An evening in the wild, wild west ended a 28-day fundraising campaign where students from the Next Level Trainings class raised more than $145,000 to support Nellie’s Champions for Kids (NC4K), an organization dedicated to supporting children with pediatric cancer and their families. Approximately 150 guests celebrated with a country-themed carnival at the Rev Cafe last night in Reynoldsburg.

“We set a goal of $120,000 when we started our campaign,” said Bob Barnes, campaign captain and Next Level student. “But I knew this team would put their heart into the cause and exceed that goal.”

As part of a large-scale community service project, the leadership class is dedicated to making a massive impact on the local nonprofit. With only 3 weeks for the campaign, students participated in a community service day at the non-profit headquarters and hosted two events to raise funds. The money raised will support programs at NC4K, including grab bags for children with cancer and financial support for their families.
